Happy Birth Day Lemon!

Lemon Ray Angeline Walden was born on July 2nd at 10:43pm.  She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measures 20.5 inches long.  It was one of the craziest experiences of my life, and I will definitely be back with my birth story and tons of pictures.

For now, we are home, after spending 2 nights in the hospital, since she was born so late.  She was born early, with her estimated due date of July 7th, and I was 39 weeks and 2 days when my labor started (I knew I should have done a 39 Week post last Saturday!).  I labored for 24 hours at home and then for 12 more hours at the hospital and achieved the natural birth, with no medications or interventions, that we were hoping for.  Would I do it naturally again?  That's another story, more to come . . .

Our baby girl is sleeping a lot, has the cutest cry I've ever heard, has blond hair and steely blue eyes (for now) and the cutest set of lips I have ever seen in my life.  Breastfeeding is challenging and sleeping has been tough, but both have been better at home and it is just amazing being in our own environment with our little lemon muffin.

To all of those who have followed our journey from the beginning, it is hard to believe we are here now.  My eyes fill up with tears thinking of these past couple of years and of the gift that is currently swinging in our living room, fast asleep.  I really never believed I'd be posting this post, and I broke down in tears after writing it and seeing Lemon laying with her Daddy on the couch after I left the computer.  For all of those out there trying and hoping and wanting, it will happen for you because it happened for us.  Don't give up and stay positive, always.  Dreams do come true.  Definitely feeling the love and sending it out to all of you.  :)

I hope to write more soon, stay tuned!
