My First Mother's Day

I had the most perfect weekend with my little family, the best first Mother's Day ever.  Our girl was in the best mood, took amazing naps, slept all through the night and we had so much fun spending two days with her.  After a morning bike ride to yard sales on Saturday, we had lunch in the park and the weather was absolutely perfect.  On Sunday we met Ian's whole family and my mom and Joe at Denny's and then went back to my in-laws house so Lemon could take a nap.  It was also a lovely day spent with our favorite people.  The whole weekend was just as I imagined it would be - actually it was better.

Saturday ~

After the park, during nap time, I cleaned the house (knowing that one of my besties would be over on Tuesday and Wednesday to watch the babe) and then offered a little something to all of my Instagram moms, wishing I could have done more for all of the people who have loved and supported us.

And when she woke up, someone decided it was the day to start walking, with her walking toys, all on her own!

Sunday~

Our 6 month old niece, Selma.

My sister-in-law, Ashley.

Blurry pic but oh so cute.  We ended the weekend with our weekly spaghetti night and then this girl had to get in the bath with her daddy!

The next weekend my mom and I headed to Cloud 9 Day Spa for massages, lunch a facial and mani/pedi.  It was amazing!

And I had these awesome necklaces made for us by Dandelyne on etsy:

I hope that all of you mamas, mamas to be, mamas working hard on becoming mamas (don't give up!), mamas who have loved and lost and mamas who are gone from us but still remembered - had an amazing Mother's Day.  Being a mama myself has made me appreciate my own mom, and mother-in-law, so much more - I can't believe all they've done for us.

Thank you to ALL of the moms out there, we appreciate you - hope you had a happy Mother's Day!  (Oh and watch this for a cute video about moms - thanks Lindsay!)

  3. I know what you mean about being a mom makes you appreciate your own mom! I swear once I held my daughter I just wanted to say sorry 50 times to my mom for my teenage years and all the times I rolled my eyes when she worried about me :( you just get it all once you have a kid!!

And your headbands are super cute!! I would love one for my daughter if you are still offering! If I'm too late no big deal :)
