2nd Birthday Trip: Day 4

Such a busy but fun day full of new friends and old ones!

Lemon woke up around 6:30 and we brushed our teeth, her favorite, watched some Nemo, ate and then were off to meet another Instagram mama Kate and her son Bradey at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Everything seems to be about 20-30 minutes away from us, which is awesome, so we didn't have to go far.

On her tiptoes, brushing her teeth. Love.

I thought that we were going to take a leisurely walk on the beach this morning, or maybe sit down while the kids played in the sand, but Lemon had other plans. She saw the water, walked right in and sat down, in all of her clothes. Thank goodness I thought to bring a towel and a couple of changes of clothes, but we weren't in our swimsuits because I thought it would be too cold. This girl went nuts, she played and played until we made her take a break, then wanted to go home when we told her to rest, she even brought Eb his shoes and said "go bye bye?" She got to go back in the water again, played some more and then started shivering and by then it was time to head home for a nap. It was crazy, I had never seen her have so much fun, she is definitely her daddy's girl when it comes to the ocean. I like to sit on the beach and be near the water but not go in it!

Bradley's face! I didn't notice this pic before, too funny!!

Let's tank about how awesome my husband is. Bradey had a long weekend and was out of sorts this morning but Ian got him to play and have a good time. He is like a toddler whisperer! Yesterday, Courtney told us that Asher didn't like stickers but Ian made him have fun with stickers just by playing with him, it was so cool. Kids just love him, I am the luckiest! And I always get cute pics of the babes but forget to take a picture with the mama, ugh! We had a great time with Kate and Bradey, Lemon lived it up and then came home and slept 3 hours, her longest nap here yet! I wish we would have had more time with them!

After Lemon's long nap, we met up with Meghan, who I used to work with, her husband Nick and daughter Natalie. The last time I saw Meghan I was pregnant with Lemon so it was awesome getting our girls together after seeing only pictures and videos. We let them play at the La Jolla Rec Center (so cool and open to the public!) and then had dinner at Puesto - street tacos that were DELISH!

On the couch again, watching the last episode of Game of Thrones. As you can tell, I'm not really into this show, I blog while we watch. Tomorrow we head to the zoo and then it's Lemon's birthday on Wednesday, and we move to the hotel on Coronado. We are going to miss having our own house, what are we going to do when Lemon goes to bed? I'm a little nervous about changing it up when we are just settling in. Oh well, can't get our money back now and I'm excited for the 4th on the island!

See you tomorrow! :)
